Re: Longs Stepper Motors model 23HS1435

Stepper motors are fairly inexpensive, just replace it. I had that same problem with an older machine and replacing the stepper motor solved the problem. I also upgraded it to a high torque stepper motor. Also I went to Home Depot and bought a couple of large springs that I mounted on each side to h...

Done this on the rotary. I applied the Metal Copper Coating and put my homemade Patina for green effects using Vinegar and Ammonia and black wax.

Re: How to make two instances of a two sided model?

After you copy then paste the component on top side, place them where you want it. Create a vector around both, then copy the vectors to other side by right clicking the vectors. On the the back side, copy and paste that component, then in the Drawing Tab under Align Objects, select Center object on...

Kenworth Semi-Truck

A guy in Australia had a couple dozen plans of semi-trucks and trailers that sold me a few. He also included color pictures which definitely made a difference when I modeled the different parts. I used Rhino and Aspire to model all the parts. Besides some wooden dowels, I the only material I used wa...

Re: is there a sheetmetal design mode

I was thinking the same thing. My winter home is in Cave Creek, Arizona, where there was large metal sculptures at almost every business. I bought my son a new plasma table for his birthday a few weeks ago, and thought those would be cool things to make.

Nice job. Would you mind showing a picture of the T-slot cutter after your ground it to the profile you needed?

Re: Cnc and pattern making for metal casting

I modeled the Sigma Lambda Chi in Aspire and had a 5ft high monument bronzed that I donated and now sits at Purdue University. I also did some plaques for 88 universities across the nation. For the metal casting, I sent the STL file to a company in China that casted a hundred of them. Maybe one day ...

Re: Manipulate acanthus 3d models in Aspire?

After you import the 3d Model (there is one in the Aspire's clipart), go into Modeling. After selecting the model, go into the Component Propeties (the crescent wrench icon) and you can adjust the height and/or tilt it.

Your file does not contain anything. But to view both sides, use the toggle to view single and double sides.

Re: Confused by error message

Roughing Strategy from Z Level to 3D Raster and things work just fine. So, I'm not sure that "pass depth" has anything to do with it. With Z level roughing pass depth has everything to do with “it”. The original poster says the pass depth for the ball end roughing tool is 0.125. Well, if on a z-lev...

Re: Confused by error message

I've always got a little frustrated when I get that error message. Lately (in fact yesterday when I got the message) instead of screwing around to see what's wrong, I switched the Roughing Strategy from Z Level to 3D Raster and things work just fine. So, I'm not sure that "pass depth" has anything t...
