Dale, since I rarely clean my desk, it gives me more time with the leaf blower in the shop. GaryHow do you find time to keep your shop so clean....

Re: Bug in Toolpath Drawing>Wrapped X Values (around Y axis)
After you import the 3-D model into Aspire, you will need to orientate it and possibly rotate it around the Z Axis. The first picture below shows one placed at the Front Orientation which worked good. The second was placed at the Top, which shows the faulty result. My setting is Y Axis wraps X values.

Re: Texture Toolbox Gadget
I don't think in imperial at all. I was only taught metric and decimal at school. It drives me nuts that so much of the UK still thinks in imperial. Apart from the simplest fractions I have to resort to lots of scribbling unlike our American cousins who can do it all in their heads. I made up a con...

Re: 1929 Model A and 1935 Auburn
I started by buying scroll saw plans online, but the fenders were flat, and some of the other features was close but not actuate to the real car. In case of the Auburn, there were no plans available anyway. Using calipers on the toy models and a lot of practice in Rhino, I was able to get the comple...

If this was put on a motorized turntable, is would add to it's uniqueness. Although most of them are rather expensive, I seen an 8" one at Sears for around $30.

1929 Model A and 1935 Auburn
Between Rhino and Aspire, I've been working on my modeling, so using a couple of metal toy cars replicas, 1929 Model A Ford and a 1935 Auburn, I decided to add to the collection of the wooden cars I've been doing for my brother. He has both of the real Model A and the Auburn.

Re: Mach3 metric/imperial question...
Leo mentioned he is planning on converting and re-calibrating his machine to inches, which is totally unnecessary. I'm on my 3rd Chinese machine and Martin54 is spot on about using the metric post-processor. I use both metric and imperial in Aspire, but save it as the generic G-Code mm in the post-p...

Where it still in the 90's here today, we all know what a swamp cooler (evaporated cooler) is. You can get the pump at Home Depot for under $20.00.I don't know what a swamp cooler is.

Re: Water Cooled Spindle
I once tried RV antifreeze, but I was getting a lot of rust so I switched to Automotive antifreeze. It's been a couple of years and it's getting a little dirty, so maybe it's time to change it out. The reservoir is just one of those rectangular plastic crates with the folding lids you get at Home De...

Re: Orientation of imported 3D model
When all else fails, import it back to the software it was drawn, or into a different cad/cam software that will accept it, place it to the rotation you want, centered on the zero point of the XYZ axis, then export it back into Aspire. It should line up then. Gary
