Re: A little rough but fun

Very nice design! I like it. I need to start thinking outside the box and make something a little more challenging. Something that needs a base board to protect the table.

Very nice! How many hours of work did you put into it? Must have been quite a few.

Re: Help in coventry

I'm new too. I looked at most of the videos while I used the program and found all the information I needed there. Sometimes there was too much, more than I needed, or I'd figured out some of it already, but well worth the viewing.

Jigs for cutting hinges

I made a couple of jigs so I'd be able to more efficiently make the hinges I use on my projects. I used them today and they really helped keep everything aligned. When I flipped the boards over, the straight edge helped line them up for the second cut. I'm able to make the knuckles, 10 boards at a t...

That's beautiful Daniel. My wife has been asking for a new headboard and frame. Now that I have the Shark HD I'm coming up with ideas and I love the idea of having a wall of cabinets and shelves. You're getting me in trouble here. LOL

Re: Router Power and Other Question New User

I had a problem with the first project I ran. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong until on the 3rd time looking at the software and the numbers in all settings, I realized what I needed to change and, eureka! It worked.

I can see Norma's excitement in her post! Awesome!

Jim,

Being new to this too I think I know what you are asking. I think you're looking for the 3D art you've seen but don't know where to find it. Let me know if this is what you are looking for.

Re: Bit choices?

Leo,

Looking at Velox's website I see they are in Orange County near the restaurant where my son is the head chef. And they are open on some Saturday's. Sound like a quick lunch trip may be in order.

Re: Bit choices?

Thank you Leo. I've only been here for a week or so and already found that everyone here is informative and helpful. I'm really looking forward to many days of good times in the shop. This seems to be opening a whole new world of possibilities.

Re: Bit choices?

I find 1/8 shank tools to be very common. You CAN get a 1/8 collet for your PC router. Here is ONE source - but there are others also. http://www.veloxcnc.com/proddetail.asp?prod=PC-COLLET-PCPG-0429-1%2F8 I looked for them but couldn't find them. My wife said I'm good at that. LOL Thanks for the li...
