Feature request - zoom last

I'd like to make a suggestion for an addition to the zoom options - zoom last. Often when zooming in tight, particularly for node editing, I'd like to zoom out just a bit to the last spot I was at in the drawing. Currently I have to F6 to see the whole screen then zoom back in. It would be more conv...

I've used Coyote for about a year now. It's great for converting photos to line art type drawings to carve. I started a thread and posted a picture of a carving. http://vectric.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1907&highlight=coyote I'm attaching another photo of a carving I did of my nephew. It's a really ...

Hi Mike,

your shape is an open vector. If you close it you shouldn't have a problem.

On the Shopbot forum there is a discussion ongoing regarding copyright. I haven't had time to read the link to Copyright Office Basics yet but the answer is probably here. http://www.copyright.gov/circs/circ1.html I wanted to pass the link on for others who are interested to read as well. The second...

I don't think there is any question regarding items that are trademarked; team logos, cartoon characters such as Mickey Mouse, corporate logos such as Harley Davidson. What is unclear to me, and I believe to many of us, is items that are not trademarked and not copyrighted. A copyright must be regis...

I'm curious about the pictures of famous people issue too. Not just Elvis but NASCAR drivers, their cars, and a very wide range of celebrities. Also, does anyone know who to contact to get permission to use copyrighted logos for pro sports such as the NFL or MLB? I know the answer is obvious - "Cont...

I didn't mean to post this on the PhotoVCarve Gallery. I didn't realize the mistake until after I had submitted it. My apology for the double posting. It's also on the VCarve gallery.

Thanks for the compliments. Don, I cut each piece about an inch longer than final dimension so I could screw the blank to the table. The front and back are identical and took about 20 minutes each to carve. The ends are identical and took about 15 each minutes to carve. The top took about 25 minutes...

Assembly was pretty easy. The corners are mitered at a 45 degree angle and I used biscuits to join the corners. The bottom is 1/4" plywood set into a 1/4" groove.

Wayne Barton Chip Carved Box

I went to an amateur woodworking show in Saratoga, NY early in April. Wayne Barton, one of the premier chip carvers in the US, was at the show. I purchased one of his books. The projects and patterns are beautiful and inspiring. I converted the images for the box shown with V-Carve and built the box...
