December 2013 update
Today, 12/6/2013, I asked Aspire 4.015 to check for updates.
It said it updated some data files.
Is there somewhere I can find out what was updated?
Thanks,
Chelmite

Re: Pesky rabbets
I tried that, and no matter whether I choose climb or conventional, it starts at the center and works out, only the direction changes, either clockwise or counter-clockwise.

Re: Pesky rabbets
Yeah, drawing the toolpaths explicitly would work, but...
- I was hoping the software would do the work for me.
- If I create the path manually, then decide to change the stepover to 20% or 40% (or some other number), then I have to re-draw all those toolpaths.

Pesky rabbets
I'm trying to use Aspire/VCarve Pro to cut a rabbetaround the perimeter of my work (see my attachment, rabbet_s.png) . So that I can run the 1/2" end-mill faster, I want to start at the perimeter, cutting with 20%-40% of the mill. I can't find the right toolpath that will cut this correctly. I've tr...

What origin does Aspire use when creating toolpaths?
What origin does Aspire use when creating toolpaths? When laying out my design in Aspire, I generally use the center as 0,0 with the design laid out symetrically about this origin. When I create my toolpaths, where does it assume the origin is? (Multiple choice. Which answer is correct?) (a) It assu...

Re: Need help adding tool profile to Aspire tool database
Dave, if this isn't the place to ask Vectric to add undercuts, what is the appropriate place?
Thanks,
Chelmite

Re: Need help adding tool profile to Aspire tool database
I plan to use dovetails a lot. I would like to be able to see what the results will look like for nested dovetails.
Can you add dovetails to the list of enhancements?
Thanks,
Chelmite
