Nice job on the banks. I have been thinking of trying one myself but just haven't made the time.
I don't know if these are the same bits but these are the ones I use. I have been pleased with the results.

Re: Gallery for display of work carved with an indexer
Here are a few of my rotary projects from the last couple of weeks. They are called weed pots (small vases). I carve them on the rotary and then transfer to the manual lathe to sand and finish turning.

Re: Question regarding 2 rail sweep and rotary
Thank You Paul,
I think that is the part I was missing. I kept thinking the tail should be shorter. I will give that a try later today. Now if I could just dream up some things like Ed (spinningwood) makes.
Thanks again.

Re: Question regarding 2 rail sweep and rotary
Thanks for the reply Paul, I have been trying that approach do I guess my question is how long to make the vertical tails. If they are too long the part gets cut off and that doesn't work on the cnc. Do I really need the vertical tails at all or can the stub tenons just be horizontal lines bounded b...

Question regarding 2 rail sweep and rotary
I have been having pretty good success with the rotary making Weed Pots (small vases) on the rotary. However: If I draw the profile and put the vertical lines at the ends to give the correct height the machine cuts through the material. The tutorial doesn't address this as it shows the ends to radiu...

Groove around Last supper carving
I was at a friends shop a few days ago and he asked me to help remove the groove around his carving of the Last supper. I tried several things but no matter what I did, ie, cropping outside a rectangle the groove adjusted and was still in the tool path. What am I overlooking? He is trying to get a c...

Re: vector missing or ignored ! ?
Since the shape on the left works and the ones on the top and right don't I would copy the left one to the other locations and see if that corrects the problem. A mirror copy would take care of the right side.

Re: Not even a noob yet, question
You said the machine you are looking at is only 2 axis. That would be enough to not cause a 2nd look for me. You might not think so at the moment but it won't take but a few days to realize the severe limitations. The size of the cutting area is another thing to keep in mind. You can cut small items...

Re: Router Bit Holder
Hi Mark,
The tool holder looks great. I like the slanted top also it makes the bits easier to get to and the labels easier to see. It will take years for me to fill the holder though.
I would like a copy of the crv file if possible.
Thanks for posting.
