Excellent upgrade!
Has anyone modified the Mach3 post processor for use with the wrapping feature? The one that comes with the upgrade indicates for ATC which I don't have . I would guess that it can still be used as long as I am careful to generate each tool path separately???

Very nice! I disagree with your friend's comment - I have seen as many as 10 bucks together with several of them jousting and the females on the outskirts.

Re: Vectric User Group DVDs
I too was a little shocked at the price of the DVD but then I remembered that Vectric is coming out with a new version in a few weeks that includes some nifty new features for 4 axis work and more at NO CHARGE! All in all a good deal

Re: Covered Bridge Scene
Really looking nice! One thing else you might want to consider is where your vanishing point really is if the bridge is a major focal point. I would suggest that the focal vanishing point is the horizon behind the back of the bridge where the mountains touch the ground. This might mean the back of t...

Re: Covered Bridge Scene
Phil,
I really like your drawing and love the topic (covered bridge!). One thing you might think about is the relative size of the fence compared to the deer. Since the fence is back a distance behind the deer it normally would be smaller scale-wise. Keep up the good work.

Re: DIY Rotary indexer build
Wes, Since I am fixing to build indexer 2nd generation I will also be following your build. My first generation indexer was based on a mini-lathe and used a 2.5:1 belt drive and worked fine for radius of 2-3". I used a 4-jaw chuck which allowed me to do the initial rounding on my regular mini-lathe ...

Phil,
See my post about using 2 rail sweeps to model a cabin. http://www.vectric.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=4749
It has a download "lesson" that may help you.

Re: Aspire and a 4th axis
Greolt - Many thanks for the explanation about using degrees instead of circumference - that makes sense! I admire the beautiful work that you and rgoldner are doing with your fourth axis :D and look forward to finishing my build of Joe's Hybird so I can rebuild and install my 4th axis (which is bas...

Re: Aspire and a 4th axis
Glad to see this discussion as I have also played with 4th axis. One confusion I have is why the need to convert to degrees? I have wrapped text around a cylinder by simply defining the Y axis size as the a long scroll and tilting the text to a slight angle. Worked fine. Please explain what is gaine...

Roly,
Had that same problem. Found that my CNC table was not exactly parallel to the X axis. You might want to check that.
