As far as why this might be occurring...could be due to Axiom rotary users needing to change the RT Type parameter in the Rich Auto controller.
and even sometimes the answer is there all along :D

Also mentioned on the Axiom forum in a couple places.

Re: 4th Axis Incomplete Finish Cut - FOUND A BUG

Having the same machine and rotary setup as the OP made me very curious about this. I have my rotary orientated along the Y axis and have not done a finish toolpath with a raster angle of 0. I use a raster angle of 90. I drew up a pawn, modeled with a 2 rail sweep and toolpathed with a finishing ras...

Re: File Time

Seems to be some confusion about what the OP was asking. He inquired about keeping track of the time spent working in the software itself (design time, etc.), not the job running time. That is correct. A client has become somewhat of a problem child. I work full time and take on select jobs on the ...

Re: File Time

Thanks for those suggestions. I do increment and save frequently and will give that a try. Nice tip. I think between the apps suggested and the increment and save tip I should be able to get close to the cumulative time spent. Not quite the built-in John Deere timer I was hoping for but will help :)...

Re: Catch All Tray Question

Thanks for that info. I will re-visit the touch off puck settings and give it a try again. Some jobs that would be handy.

File Time

I am wondering if there is a way in Aspire or perhaps Windows that I can see the cumulative time spent within a file? I ask for estimating reasons. Fairly straight forward to set the cost of milling, assembling and installing custom work but without actually keeping a timesheet of sorts during the d...

Re: Catch All Tray Question

That's a fairly substantial lip. A couple years ago I ran a test with the included touch off puck that came with my Axiom machine.... placed puck on machine bed used a .25BN utilized tool touch off function on the HHC after touch off my safe Z was set to move to 75mm I then returned Z to the uppermo...

The vector unwrapper is one way this can accomplished. oval.jpg Here is the .crv file if you want to take a look.... Oval.crv3d Also, this tutorial by Vectric really opens up the capabilities of the rotary within the software. https://www.vectric.com/support/tutorials/aspire?category=TutorialCategor...

Re: Dogwood Barrette

Joe, You mentioned that it was difficult to get it right. It would be great if you could give us more details as to the steps you used to make that beautiful barrette - especially using the two different woods. Paul Absolutely! My first attempt was to keep everything walnut except the white oak flo...

Re: Dogwood Barrette

Thanks for the compliments. Glad you all like it. This one was especially difficult to get right. I'm really happy with the white oak/walnut combo. From the picture it looks really nice. Has "she" worn it yet. If so, how did "she" like it? My wife absolutely loves it and it looks really nice worn. W...
