Re: Cutting steel on my radial axis

From the picture, a roto-hinge doesn't look to hard to make. Two short dowels with a hole, a couple of washers and a bolt with a lock nut.

Re: Is there any hope for Linux users?

Reflecting upon the title of this thread "Is there any hope for Linux users?" After considerable deliberation I have come to the conclusion that there is no hope for them in the foreseeable future. 8) I agree with you Ted. Linux is mostly for more experienced computer users that like to explore. Mo...

Re: Is there any hope for Linux users?

I don't expect to see a linux version, but as the controller software for my CNC is on a Linux machine it would be nice to have Aspire on it so I could quickly edit toolpaths when I see I've made a mistake. The trip back up the stairs to my windows PC in only a time waster balanced with the exercis...

Re: V12 COMING APRIL 2024 🎉

I believe the term is MVP - Minimum Viable Product, this means it is usable and customers can provide feedback for the product to be incrementally updated. It saves an awful lot of money if the customer can do your testing for you. Many customers also feel good when they find a bug, almost proud. W...

So, try to work through the problem and send the support team exactly what you are missing. Whining about your problems on a public forum probably won't get the problem solved.

Re: Is there any hope for Linux users?

I use Aspire on Linux Debian from version 8 and with Wine it works as in a native way (I see no difference with the version installed on Windows) too bad that from version 11.5 it no longer works on Linux 64bit while still works perfectly on the 32bit (however it is not one A matter of dual boot or...

Re: cutting order

In the toolpath setup, select the "Order" tab as shown in the attachment. Uncheck everything except "vector selection order". Select the vectors in order that you want them to be cut.

Re: straight line lengths

Select the line tool and click where you want the line to begin. With the mouse, move in the direction of where you want the line, type a value on the keyboard and press enter. Right click to end the polyline function or type another value to continue. Normal constraints apply.

You can also open the circle tool, specify a diameter or radius and just click where you want the circle(s).

I wonder that if I bought a brand new Chevrolet from GM would they listen to my complaints that the parts are not compatible or interchangeable with my Ford?

Re: V12 COMING APRIL 2024 🎉

I sincerely hope they take their time and release all versions of the software as bug free as possible. Even if it's May or June. Whining or complaining about when they will release it only adds pressure and a possible "marketing" release that is too early.

Re: Is there any hope for Linux users?

You could just dual boot the computer for Windows and Linux. Then, at boot up, just select which OS you want to use. I've done it many times and it works good. File compatibility can be a problem between the two but, that exists anyway.

Attached is a pic of the setting to move the text to the other side of the line. You already had most of the battle one by splitting the text into two separate blocks.
