Hi all,
After installing Aspire on my new Win 10 computer, every time I run it, it comes up with, "Initializing postscript fonts for first time use." This is only supposed to happen on the very first run. Any ideas why this is happening?
Thanks,
Ron

Re: lost most fonts
VCarve uses the Windows system fonts, so it's doubtful they are gone. Have you by chance, selected "Single Line" inadvertently, instead of "TrueType" fonts in the selection tab?

Re: Pistol grips?
Double oops - forgot about the V-Carve Pro part. I've converted both sides to STL format, which should import. Give 'em a try and let me know.

Re: Wine Barrel Stave
I've done several, and while it is possible to take a lot of measurements to develop the compound cure of a particular stave, I use a 3D probe to take the measurements at specified intervals across the stave. Makes it easier to develop the proper curves. Also I've found on most, that close is good e...

This is the Cut3D area, but you mention Cut2d. Are you scanning pictures or 3D objects?

I've never seen one with a 1/8" shank, as the OP requested. Be a pretty small spring!

Re: First Cut in 3D
Hi Nick, and welcome and G'Day! Cut3D and Cut2d, are mainly designed for toolpathing objects that are designed in another program (CAD). Just out of curiosity, what did you design it in? Looks great, by the way. If you add V-Carve Pro to you arsenal, you can do a lot more. If you go all the way to A...

Hi Chris,
Just throwing something out there - if you plan on doing a lot of these, or something similar, you can pretty easily anodize aluminum, yourself.
Google "anodizing aluminum" and you'll get a lot of good info. I've done it, and it turned out pretty darn good!
