Re: V-Groove bit problem
Hi Allan. Yep, those are the ones. I use the ones from Dimar. I have a 30,91 and 110 degree versions. A few years ago, a friend of mine was in the shop, and he picked up one of the cutters, and was looking at it, and said "hey this is cracked" and sure enough it was. I called up the supplier, and he...

Re: V-Groove bit problem
Hi Allan. I have this problem from time to time when cutting dry cedar. I've learned that you only get one shot at it. I will sometimes put a little offset on the tool path, if I absolutely need to do another V-cut. I have invested in index able carbide "V"cutters. Yes the body is expensive, but the...

Re: Help buying an HVLP Spray System
I bought the Ealex 5000 five years ago for a paneling job. Part of the contract was delivering the panels primed for painting. We primed over 1000 4' x 8' sheets. Starting off was a little slow, but once we had the proper needle selection and viscosity, it worked fine. I have used it a few times sin...

I have Tool path installed on my machine computer. I can import your tool path and export as dxf if you like. It's quite simple, but you have to be aware that you need to know what tool was used, and adjust for cutter comp.

Re: Engraving brass
I engrave 304 stainless, and generally use a 1/32", 4-flute, flat bottom, solid carbide, stub, end mill, and then paint fill after. I would imagine that you could start with the same tool with brass, and adjust the speed and feed accordingly. I also brush a little cutting oil on the surface before s...

Re: Gadget installation on Win7x64
Hi Mark.
My version of Aspire is 4.510 on both computers.
I downloaded the gadgets in the last week.
They seem to go through the install fine, but do not appear in the gadgets menu.

Re: Gadget installation on Win7x64
I've tried to install the SDK gadget on both my old laptop and my new one, but no luck. I'm pretty sure it's a operator problem, but I don't know how to resolve it.

Has anyone been successful with this install problem? I am having the same issue, just wondering if they had any luck.

Re: Drag Engraving
I have the same tool from widget Works. I've never had any issues. There is a slight amount of side to side play, but I would say no more than a couple of thousands.
This tool has paid for itself many times over, and will be engraving brass tags later on today.

I may have used the wrong term. I think of coasters as the cardboard discs that have the product name and brewery on them.

Beer Flites
I just finished a interesting little project for one of the local hotel lounges. These are "beer flites". To be honest, I had never heard of them prior to being approached by the hotel management.(I guess I am seriously out of the loop) They wanted a rustic look, so I suggested some select WR Cedar....

Try searching "Solid surface" that's more of a generic product.

Can you import tool paths into Aspire using your CV gadget?
I can't seem to figure it out.
