Re: Tinting Lines in a Vectric Drawing

Thanks Adrian,
Thanks for your very speedy reply..... From what you write it is quite obvious that what I need can be done.
At the moment I am more than a little unsure how I go about this.... but I am going to find out

For a starter ...... Is there a tutorial on the subject?

Tinting Lines in a Vectric Drawing

Hi Everybody. I must say that I really enjoyed the UK User Group Meeting It was quite obvious to me that a lot of work had gone into its preparation and it showed! My request is possibly quite unusual .... How could I tint, in different colours, the various components within a Vectric Drawing. One v...

Is the Group Meeting Planned for next Tuesday Still on?

HI
Quite a number of organisations are cancelling, out of respect for the death of Queen Elizabeth, their meetings
Is there any possibility that the above meeting will be cancelled?

Re: August Newsletter

Thanks Adrian,
With your kind help it now works fine.
Personally, in the future I can use these added "notes" to great advantage.
On my copy of Beki's "Top Tip" I am sure she quotes *.*
Or do I need to go to the opticians?

August Newsletter

Hi,
I have just attempted to use the "Top Tip" that Beki kindly informs us about in the above newsletter.... Adding "NOTES" to a file
I start the note with *.* but nothing happens after saving the file and reopening
I am using Aspire 10.515
What am I doing wrong?

Re: Chamfer Gadget in Version 10.515

Hi Scottanor, I use both the chamfer gadget and the chamfer in the Toolpath Options .... If the gadget worked well in version 10 I would expect it to work in version 10.515 I see no reason to add it to version 10.515 if it does not work on my machine One reason why I use the gadget version is that I...

Chamfer Gadget in Version 10.515

Hi, I have noticed that if I attempt to use the Chamfer gadget in this version (10.515) it does not work correctly,,, However, if I us it in version 10 it is quite O.K. Typically, in version 10,515, if I attempt to chamfer, at 45degrees, the edges around a square I get a chamfered square with a addi...

Respacing Objects along a line

Hi Everybody,
Just a quickie for the "experts"
I am doing a drawing with a lot of holes spaced along the x axis.....
At the moment they are 3mm holes spaced 4.6mm apart ..... I want to open this up to 3mm holes spaced 5mm apart
Is there a quick way to do this ?

Re: Prototype CNC Machine

Thanks BDM.... I very seriously considered your approach and I must say it has its merits. I have changed direction since my very first idea ... originally I was thinking about just a 2 axis machine built to cut "kerfs" along the length of shaped plywood .... so I purchased a few bits and bobs .... ...

Re: Prototype CNC Machine

Hi Martin. Interesting question ..... I have a German build CNC that I normally use .... a sturdy machine that will do anything that I normally require. However, sometime ago I thought of making a very simple CNC myself and decided, after a lot of consideration, to make a small table top machine ......

Re: Prototype CNC Machine

Hi Martin, I am planning to use the TB6600 Stepper Motion Driver/Controller paired up with NEMA 17 motors. I have not , as yet decided what to marry up with my Arduino ... but, at the moment, I am looking at the CNC Shied A4988 DRV8825 Most of these components are quite inexpensive .... so I feel I ...
