Thank you Jim that fixed it.
I will have to keep an eye out for that issue.

What am I doing wrong?
I have attached two files they are identical except the center circle on number2 is offset by 0.0001 of an inch. I am making a pocket between the two circles and as you can see from the tool path in the center of this pocket are hundreds of Z movements. If I offset either circle by even a tenth then...

Re: Unwanted circle
Joe your configure screen doesn't look anything like mine. (see below)
Your Mach 3 screen doesn't either as far as I can see. I am running Version R3.043.022 of Mach3.
Could you have an old copy of Mach?

Re: New with a question
Thank you very much for the quick reply and solution. I was setting the material from the EDIT drop down when the project started and I thought the material setup on the TOOL PATHS was the same. I see now they both have to be set to get the results you want.
Thanks again

New with a question
Just started working with Cut 2D and I have a question as to how to setup the Z axis when I send the code to Mach3. What I would like to do is when I have a project I will manually move the tip of my Z axis tool up off the work piece 0.100. I will then call this my home or "0" position for Z. I woul...
