Re: VFD Error Codes
OK. Unplug totally your CNC from the main supply. Totally means the CNC, the controller, and every equipment that can be electrically connected. Better safe than sorry, for the equipment and especially for you. I will number all points, so it will be easier for the feedback and will avoid any confus...

Re: VFD Error Codes
Hi Martin54 & LittleGreyMan, Thank you both for your input, I appreciate you taking the time to help out. You're welcome. That's what the forum is for. Regarding the VFD, The Huanyang VFD has a parameter for a factory reset. Am I correct in thinking that if I use that parameter reset, Will the VFD ...

Re: VFD Error Codes
Regarding the wires from the spindle to the VFD, apart from the earth, the other three wires, I have been told it doesn't really matter which terminals they are connected to, U.V.W, but if the spindle goes in reverse, then just swap two of the spindle wires around on the VFD terminals. Is that wron...

Re: VFD Error Codes
Have you checked the VFD to spindle connections, especially if it is a 3 phases spindle?

Re: VFD Error Codes
General behaviour. It may or may not match your configuration: ask help from a local electrician to check it. A VFD generally provides a potential free switch which remains closed while the VFD is operating normally (just as an emergency stop). When a problem occurs, it opens, as your emergency stop...

Re: A bit of S&F clarity, please...
Adrian exactly says the same thing as the note at the bottom of the Amana spec: Disclaimer : it is important to understand that these values are only recommandations. With the provided settings, the chip load is 0.0017in, and the only logical way I can achieve 0.0024in is by reducing the spindle spe...

Re: VFD Error Codes
Your VFD probably includes a default switch you can connect into the security circuit of your controller (serial connexion with the emergency stop).
It will protect your machine, your bit and your material. And avoid you a lot of anxiety monitoring the CNC.

Re: Isel Post Processor
Steven,
The plunge in the center of the cylindric cut seems strange, that's why I asked for the Vectric file.
Same question for the "o0000" line.

Re: Isel Post Processor
The result of the test file in a gcode viewer looks odd. Could you post the Vcarve file please? What is the exact full name of the Isel PP you choose? The working gcode shows that the machine controller accepts circular interpolation, which is not the case with the PP you selected. What is the model...

Re: Puzzle piece doesn't come out right
Except when I do stupid stuff, like put the wrong tool in the machine This kind of things *never* happens to me. Imagine an urgent job, a 2x3 m machine table, nearly full of workpiece blanks made of a PU board in a particular thickness, coming directly from Germany with some delay because...

Re: Isel Post Processor
Hi,
Could you post the gcode that crashed?
The age of the machine vs age of the software is not an issue. A CAM software internally computes the path in its own "language" then translates it into the machine language according to the postprocessor you choose.
