Re: Dash collection for a rotary indexer
Glad to see that all are enjoying my typo. I posted the question from my phone. I like to use spech to text, I hate typing. I've had some interesting and embarassing translations with the speech to text. Gotta proof read.

Re: Modelling question
Thanks, gentlemen. I appreciate the help. I'm very early in the project, not sure when I'll get to the lanterns. I just wanted to figure out how to make that part.

Re: Modelling question
I'm not sure what this part is called. That would be a carriage lantern. A hold-over from... umm... carriages. :D Good to know. My question now is how do I model the cube in the middle. I can easily create a cube but I can only put around disc on one of the sides. I'm looking for help in adding the...

Modelling question

I've created the one shown here in Sketchup, pretty simple. In Aspire I can easily model to cube shape but I can't fig...

New rotary indexer problem
Yesterday I turned a 1.375" dia x 9" long piece of softwood to 1.25" dia. I had trimed the corners to an octagon shape so the cut was very light. The cut went as expected. Next I used Aspire to create a spiral cut along the same piece. The tool ran as expected. Today I set up to turn a 2.375" dia x ...

GCode Re: Rotary G code Post by Phil » Sun Jan 21, 2024 7:05 pm Here is my first successful attempt at writing SBP code. This is for indexing four flutes on a 4" dia. x 15" long cylinder. I copied the first part from a file created by the Aspire gadget. The rest of the code moves the router from 1" ...
