An instant classic...nice job. At the risk of the jokesters' comments, how did you get the rope hooks to stay erect?

Re: Modeling height problems
Well, I am not sure I follow all of that, but perhaps this will help. You said you have set your z=0 to the bottom of the material, which makes it the top of your spoil board. That sounds good. Then you set you set your material thickness to zero? I would suggest your material must have a thickness ...

Okay, back to the world of simple DC's that exhaust to the outside world with no filter. You will recall my redesigned DC with a 20 gallon can... Jacking0.JPG In my continuing quest to over-engineer my DC, and eliminate manual labor, I added 1/4-20 jacking hex head bolts to each corner, which consis...

Re: 9th Grade Shop Project
That's a very good first project, Jacob. Back in my school days, I thought I was hot stuff because I made a band saw cut out of a horse shape. You are light years beyond that. Your experience in visualizing projects and your understanding of cnc processes can be the basis of many interesting careers...

So, Dale...sounds like you are correct, but for the wrong reason . So, if we want more detail on a carving deeper than the radius on the ball nose, we should use a straight bit. (I think you already said that.)

This is my redesigned rig using a 20 gallon can to be more compact. I have also adopted the idea from youtube of blocking up each side to empty the can, thus eliminating the need for a hoist. Since I exhaust to the world, there is no filter. DCIMG_1527.JPG This shows the upper assembly blocked up wi...

Re: It's A Bird, It's A Plane, No It's A Paradise Box Again
Thanks again for comments. Some guy named Michael something-or-the-other did the original design . But now the design has reached critical mass and has taken off on its own. Classic designs live forever. (Thanks, Michael Tyler)
