What about kiln dried and air dried lumber? I have tried some popular that the farmer down the road harvested 15 years ago, been kept in a barn all that time. 3D carving in it left so much fuzzies in it I throw it in the fire. A lot of folks have VCarve on two computers (one for design and another at the machine)and that is fine as long as your the only one using it, in your situation there would be two of you using the program pretty much at the same time so yes you would need to get another license.

Wouldnt you want to do the tool path of the texture for the whole panel, create model from preview then split the model into two or more panels?

An .rar file is a compressed file if memory serves, why in havens sake would you put a compressed file .rar in a compressed file .zip.. anyway try to unzip the .rar file.
