Re: exporting to gcode
thanks - but i did not see that option. only inchess or mm. You want either of the two highlighted ones. I would recommend the metric one as a lot of those types of machines only seem to like metric files. As I say you should really verify this though as it's just what I think and I don't have a ma...

Re: exporting to gcode
What post processor are you running? If it's the generic gcode one it won't have any code in it to handle things like that.
I would have thought you should be using the "Carbide Motion ATC" post processor but I don't use a machine like that so you should verify that first.

Re: Using Offset in XY Datum position in Job Setup
Safest way is to use a template then. There are multiple ways the values can be reset so it's always best to use the template feature so you know exactly what is going on. Saves a lot of time going through checklists to make sure all the many settings that can change by looking at other files are as...

Re: Guideline Not Working
No, click and hold on either ruler and drag to where you want the guideline.
Note that the box in the upper left where the two rulers meet will toggle guideline visibility so try clicking that if you still don't see anything. It should reset itself automatically when you drag a guide though.

You can also drag and drop images straight into the text box. That's what I do.

Check the toolpath preview quality settings to make sure they are the same as in the other version.

Re: Using Offset in XY Datum position in Job Setup
Those values and a lot of others are set by their last status. So if you load a file that doesn't have an offset the next time you create a new one they won't be there. If you setup a new job with them then that should carry them on until such time as you do something to reset them again. The way to...

Re: Strange toolpath on texture following pattern
Looks like your second toolpath was calculated with a different set of vectors .
Reselect and calculate it with the current vectors and it works fine as does the first toolpath without recalculating.

Check whether you're running in software or hardware graphics mode. Look on the Help menu and About Aspire.

Re: Spindle speed Following a vcarve version change
That should do it but it's a good idea to change the POST_NAME and the actual filename so it doesn't get mixed up with the standard post processor again.

Re: Spindle speed Following a vcarve version change
Just because it has the same name doesn't mean it is the same though.
I've gone back through all the versions of VCarve I have right back to 7.0 and that post processor always has the SM3 command in it so I would suspect that you used a modified version in your previous installation.

Can you attach the file? Copying what you've shown is working fine for me.
