Candle Tray

Merry Christmas Everyone ! I just purchased this pattern from: http://www.sheilalandrydesigns.com/product/SLD323. A collection of candle trays. Hand painted by my daughter-in-law. The wood in all of these trays is oak, with a wipe on poly finish. The beads are soft shot BB's. These were given a Chri...

Re: Shark Mako 0,0,0 problems

Hello Jerry, I am not sure what you have got going here. Here are my thoughts. In all of your tool paths you have a different start cut depth specified for each tool. I set the start tool depth to 0.000 for all of them. I tried to maintain the depths you had set except for Grandma's Goodies. I just ...

Re: Shark Mako 0,0,0 problems

Can you post a copy of the parts you are making with the toolpaths. Maybe someone will be able to see what your settings are and be of more help.

They files are in a zip folder. Did you open the zip folder and click file you want to open?
It is just a thought.

Re: Layout Help Needed

Hello Barb,
I would recommend you watch some if not all of this series on router basics.
These are for a hand held router. They are very informative for a novice.

Re: Layout Help Needed

Hello Barb, This is just a thought off the top of my head. I would make the table as long as I could. Maybe, 36" to 48 " long and 13" wide and at least 3/4" or more thick. I would also Router ( By hand with guide boards ) or table saw the slots to fit the T-Track you are going to use. I would put 2 ...

New lithopane with Frame

I just finished this litho. It is 3/4" oak. The overall dimensions are 18" long x 8" tall x 3 3/4" deep. The lito is 1/8" thick green acrylic. I also made 2 other grooves on the inside for light diffusing panels. I used 1 night light for the backlight. There are 4 felt pads on the bottom for it to s...

Re: Failed to import

Thank you Adrian. Yes they were created in one company by 2 different people.
The pattern is rather complex. I was really hoping I didn't need to redraw it.
Thanks again

Failed to import

Hello everybody, I tried searching this but came up with nothing that I feel applies. I recently purchased 3 scrollsaw patterns in PDF format. 2 of the patterns I could import vectors from with no problems at all. The third one I get the following message: Failed to import.PNG I don't understand the...

Why not just set the array tool to 9mm and set the number of copies to 8 and be finished?

Re: Adding a sheet

Hello David, It looks like you are on the right track. If you enlarge your cut profile view after the simulation you will see the tool radius still left in the corners of the grooves. That is why I made them just long enough to clear the edges of the parts at the grooves. I made what looks like the ...

Re: Adding a sheet

David, Everything I changed is grouped per each part. You should be able to ungroup each part all the way down to individual components. You could then stretch the dado grooves by the diameter of the tool you are using plus a little bit for stock between the parts. Be sure to regroup all of the comp...
