Re: Tool Profile Transfer VCP to Aspire

Thanks for the clarification Mark. I tried to use the March 2/3 Post Processor with IJ mode incremented and had no success. So I ended up loaded the Generic "G code PP" and set IJ to absolute, the starts aligned and the sun was eclipsed be the moon. Could it actually be a controller computabil...

Re: cnc shark pro plus/ router won't drop into work

Jim,

How many test runs have you run? Does the machine move to zero and can you set zero reference? Do you have the correct post processor selected when saving your tool path? If all is good make sure your bit is tight (don't ask me how I know that).

Re: Tool Profile Transfer VCP to Aspire

Hi Mark,

I use Mach 3 as well. In Aspire I use (Gcode inch .tap) as my post processor. Within Mach 3 in Gen Config change the IJ mode to absolute. That is how I'm set up in Aspire anyway.

Re: Tool Profile Transfer VCP to Aspire

Tim, Dan,

Thanks for all the help I found the file and every thing seems cut and dry. I am afraid that I will need to readjust my cut depths step over and speed for Aspire now. I guess you cant have it all. :)

Re: New forum member just wanted to share

Wes, Thanks for the encouragement. I used a .0625 BN and each carving took about 2.5 to 3 hours. I cut them at 50 ipm. The overall size of the entire box was 7" x 20". I plained/plowed all the material outside of the carvings to bring the carvings above the surface and finished with Watco Danish oil...

Re: What's wrong here? .dwg file, Shark, VCarve or me?

Larry, I replaced my SD Card with a 2gig but prior to inserting it into the controller I checked it out with a SD reader. I found that it needed to be formatted. Try to reformat your SD card, that may help. As I said I use a 2gig SD. As Glenn put it, "Don't loose hope". I have made some pretty nice ...

Re: What's wrong here? .dwg file, Shark, VCarve or me?

Lcrosa My first machine was a CNC Shark it uses the same controller as the Pro. There could be several problems going on. I had referencing problems with my machine as well. The first thing to check for is that you are loading the write post processor. I am assuming that you are considering your fir...
