Re: 3D toolpath trouble for simple groove

You may have done this but when you set up the moulding toolpath and select the tool, if you check the "vary stepover" as you come up the sides it will put the cuts closer together for an even smoother cut.

Re: 3D Daisy

I just copied and pasted the daisy layer you already had made. Then rotated them, moved the copies to beneath the originals in the modeling tab and set both to merge. I raised the base on the originals .0625". Something to play with. Have fun.

Re: options to prevent operator error?

"When you can setup the workflow for toolpaths so that the relevant items are already selected it would help the workflow." In your first two examples you want Vcarve to not select the relevant items on one and select the relevant item on two. Vectric continues to improve their software by adding f...

On a flat object like that, You should be able to scan it and open the jpg. Measure something easy (like a circle hole) then resize the vectors so the hole is exact. I could be wrong.

If you open your toolpath at the very top right-side under 'Cutting Depths' is the 'Start Depth.'

Re: Finishing toolpath with allowance?

If you are wanting an allowance for the Z just set your toolpath for your final cut with an added start depth. Duplicate the toolpath and reduce the start depth by whatever you want the allowance to be. Do the same if you want it in steps. I hope I followed what you were looking for.
