What Did I Do to get a Mirror Image using Mach3?

After the last upgrade in Aspire, and thinking I got the Mach 3 controler configured right for use with my rotary indexer, things seemed to work fine and I have use it successfully on carvings. The only strange thing was, my -Y setting would go North and +Y would go South prior to my settings and no...

Re: Sign larger than table limits need help regarding texturing

You can take the entire component and copy it in the working model. Draw a box 1/2 the size and position it on the far left side and "ctrl, shift,H" to copy the box the the right side. Highlight the left box and clear the outside of the box, then make that compenent. Do the same for the right side. S...

Colored Carvings

After making this box, the cravings needed something to stand out, so I decided to try the glazing technique that Tim provided in his Step by Step Guide. The problem was, I went to Home Depot to get the supplies, which was very limited and I didn't want to wait to order the products somewhere else. ...

Re: Goofy Names

Sorry for the post. After restarting my computer, everything seems to work now. Another reason I dislike the Vista Operating System.

Goofy Names

After upgrading, I started a new project. When it was time to name the component I just drew, the spelling was totally different than what I typed. i.e. when I typed "Lid", it came out "cuz". I closed Aspire and reopen it. This time I was able to name the component correctly, except when I went to s...

Re: Missing Files

Thanks Tony and Greg,

After your suggestions, everything seems to work great. It also helped when I enabled A motor output.

Re: Missing Files

Tony, I'm still trying to wrap my brain around the concept of wrapping. I loaded the tapered leg file and through tool path drawing section, wrapped the Y value around the x-axis, then saved the toolpathes. Loading the files in Mach 3, although it don't show the display in 3D view, it indeed follows...

Wrapping With Mach

This topic has been split and copied from the original as it contains very useful information on setting up Mach. The original topic can be found here ... http://www.vectric.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=7255 and started with questions about missing files on the User grpup DVD Brian Tony, I'm stil...

Missing Files

I finally got around to the Vectric Group DVD, being mostly interested in the Wrapping section. The problem is, files are missing that is shown in the DVD. The attach jpg. shows the screen shot in the presentation, but they are no where on the DVD.

Re: Aspire and Windows 7 home premium 64 bit

I just spent the weekend loading up my new hp using Windows 7 Ulimate. No problems with Apire 2.5 with the update. I have Autocad 2000 that was too old of software, so I loaded in the Window virtual XP mode. Works Great.

Re: Another Toy

Don, My brother and I was planning a RV trip to to Nashville, Indiana for a Shay Model A convention last year. One of our stops was going to be the Auburn Automobile Museum. Something came up caused us to cancel the trip, but I definitely want to visit there someday. By the way, a Shay Model A is a ...

Another Toy

This project involved both the lathe and cnc router. Several years ago I invested in a laser engraver, that I mainly use now for the detail work like the "1930 Dusenberg" sign.

Music - Jewery Boxes

I started making one of these boxes for a granddaughter, when two other granddaughters walked in on me and saw what I was doing. They totally flipped and wanted one also. Needless to say, I end up making eight more thinking they would be good Christmas presents. I'm still waiting for some more music...
