Re: I guess I lied
I said in an earlier post that I was done for the year, I guess I lied. I have made both of my grandson's many, many things and thought I could get by not making them something for X-mas. I was wrong, feeling guilty. I got this one ready to seal and glaze, and am cutting the other one now. Now I wi...

Re: Which model should I use
It's an artistic choice really. A recessed model is designed to mimic the look of hand cut chisel edges to the recess in which the model sits and the dish is a perfect concave shape which the model sits in. My personal preference from a pure machining point of view is to use dish models as you can ...

Which model should I use
Hi all,
I am doing a cutting board the top side will be a standard Zank inlay.
The bottom will be a 2.5 D carve from D&M should I use a dish or recess model.... never used a recess model before.
Thanks
Ron

Re: Resin and Zank InLay Cutting Board
From that scraggly looking piece you saved and used on the Wizard Ron? (Watch out for the hairline cracks if clamping a Zank Inlay) The wood color contrast should be Amazing! Thank you I shall look into itTex_Lawrence wrote: ↑Mon Nov 30, 2020 12:17 pmRon, I believe the bottom row of colors in the color pallet are saved colors that have been used. You can click on one of those to get one of the custom colors that you have used.

Re: Resin inlay - getting through the Christmas list
A question for all you resin inlay guys. From what I have seen, most users are using Epoxy Resin for their resin inlay projects. Anyone using Polyester Resin. I’ve used polyester resin for years laying up fiberglass models and like to shorter cure time as opposed to the longer cure times with epoxy...

Re: Resin inlay - getting through the Christmas list
I Love it !!! I haven't tried two colors next to each other, I am a little apprehensive about that. You seem to have mastered it with what I have seen !! I think the main reason is, impatience .Anyway, great job I too am getting closer to having my list complete. Dave Yes patience is required... I ...

Preview - Toolpath color
When selecting the color from "more colors" and assigning this color to the toolpath..... it would be handy if the color selected was remembered in the displayed pallet for the next toolpath.
Or is there a way to remember a custom color already?
Thanks
Ron
