Daniel,

once it's mirrored, it's pretty much a matter of good reference. Position wise but you may need fence(s) or dowel(s) system a for a very accurate two side project.

Personally, I would have prefer to flip a 4'X4' panel instead of a 4'X8'...

Exactly what I thought; I am running a beta which doesn't work for this trick (Vectric please fix this). Running release 1.025 enable me to machine only the area that require machining.

Slice it to almost (say minus 0.001") the total thickness of the model then use the sliced model (*.v3d). I remember well doing this before but I cannot make it work now... I have this *.v3d file that is just like that (from before) but when recalculate doesn't work anymore for the finishing toolpat...

A turntable render effect would be sure cool. Several months ago I request (read suggest) a 3D file format exporter from the previewer (STL, OBJ). My idea is to import the previewer output into a 3D application for advanced rendering, animation (such as a turntable effect) and even assembly of multi...

Modelling the part should be fairly easy once one get a hang at 3D modelling. The ShopBot thread that was refer above was a discussion about how to effectively machine the part, both machine time wise and secondary finishing (sanding) time wise too. You want to backup the software? Copy (burn) the original installation file (***_Setup.exe) on a CD. You want to backup your settings and customization files? You'll want to copy /PostP/, /ToolDatabase/, /VectorTextures/ and maybe /Textures/ if you have added render textures. Does that help? I'm not...

By manually selecting vector (individually), you can "suggest" the cut order to VCP... but if it think different (rapids traverse length) it will decide on it's own. The cutting order is not (yet) fully implemented as far as I am aware of... this is something I am looking for in a soon future. I sug...

How much taper do you need? Have you tried Gary Beckwith's router bits? beckwithdecor.com Hi Istovall! I do have such long reach tapered bit but since Cut 3D doesn't handle them I cannot toolpath for such tools. I'm very confident that sooner than later one of the next Cut 3D release will handle th...

The marlin is sure nice but until we can get tapered tool in Cut3D, it's a bit of a problem... some areas are very deep cut to reach. My plan is to cut the marlin from at least 2 inches thick stock. 8) No real complaining here, it's just that I thought I'd mentioned one of the reason why it haven't ...

Same here.

I had once a problem with a specific file from a batch download and within 24 hours (maybe less) I had the problem solve with the fixed file.

I second the good and fast customer services from Vector Art 3D.
