Something Strange may be going on with your setup because that operation works just fine here!
Are you talking about having various sheets and droping a dxf file onto a particular sheet?

You can change both of those if you want but in the case of the 3D you will lose some of the new functionality. In both cases you need to go to Options on the Edit menu. To restore the old 3D mouse behaviour set "View controls mode" under "3D View Settings" to "Legacy" making sure to read the notes...

The Sketch Carve Toolpath is a handy Tool. This Toolpath can be used as an overall trial run checking for actual clearance of clamp and Screw Holddowns. It also provides an overall rough idea on the actual material as to how all Looks l as an outline.

As said above kerning has been combined into the Text Tool. The separate tool has been removed. All works the same as before you just have to have the text tool active. In Create Text -- Click between Characters (a V <> A appears) moves (Left Click) inward --- Hold Shft Key Down (Left Click) and the character moves outward.

I just downloaded all the new gadgets for V12. One suggestion, or maybe it already exists and I couldn't find it, the ability to select multiple gadgets to install (batch install) versus having to install each gadget individually.
