I don't see why the additional code is unreasonable, in fact it's very predictable. GCode arcs are a holdover from the "old days" when CNC machines had little or no memory. CNC machines only move in straight lines, so circular vectors are always cut with hundreds, if not thousands of short straight...

I notice that when I do a merge toolpath that Aspire removes arcs (G2/G3) and redraws everything as straight lines (G1). Is there a way to keep the arcs or is it necessary to move to straight lines in order to merge the toolpaths?
