routnabout

Thanks for the response. I didn't look there.

I have a problem with my drawing. It was created by a friend and it appears the drawing is not in the positive XYZ so I have to get that fixed. Is that easy to do?

gravirozo

I tried you suggestion of out put the AutoCad file using STLOUT. But that creates a filename.stl file. Unless you have a different version of Aspire than I do, my version does not import .stl files. What are you doing differently then what I am doing.

Thanks

Need some files set up in 3D Cut

Hi,

I have Aspire but I need to cut a couple files that require 3D Cut and I am not ready to purchase another software package.

I have AutoCAD drawings that can be used.

If you can help me, please email or PM me. If you are in FL, that would be great.

Thanks

Re: Adding Surfacing Bit to the Tool Database

Joe,

That is okay! I have those on an hourly basis.

But that still does not resolve my problem. Is this an Aspire limitation? Do you know if VCarve Pro has the same limitation?

Re: Adding Surfacing Bit to the Tool Database

Joe, Thank you for responding but I don't believe your statement is correct. When you use Raster in either climb or conventional, the cut starts on one side and goes back and forth until it reaches the other side. When you use Offset in either climb or conventional, the cut starts in the middle and ...

Adding Surfacing Bit to the Tool Database

You don't have a surfacing bit in the tool database and I can't seem to be able to create a new type tool. What am I doing wrong? I also seem to have a problem with the cut direction. I want to be able to cut from the outside in and not inside out in a circular motion on the offset cut. How do you d...

Re: Making a negative / mould / mold

Okay, I played around with it some more and I think it works. I just can't try it because it is the trial version.

Thanks

Re: Making a negative / mould / mold

GripUs

I must be doing some thing incorrectly because this is what I get when I set my depth as 0.0125. You see I want a little concave.

It is very deep. The rest of the setting are the same as you suggested. I want a slight concave or a small amount of material removed.

Re: Making a negative / mould / mold

Can you explain in more details. I want to cut a 3/4 MDF board with a concave circle in it in the -Z direction. It seems like it is difficult in Aspire but it should not be. I want to be able to change the value that determines the concave.

How to create a grid pattern

I am playing with the trial version and I need some help on how to create a cross grid with 5 grid bars on the X and 5 grid bars on the Y inside a circle. The grid pieces will be below the circle by 1/8". The space between the grid bars will also be below the grid by 1/8". What tools do I use setup ...

Re: Aspire System requirements

wrench, They don't make it easy to find. You go to Vectric shop and click on Aspire. Lower in the page you will find the system requirements. You most likely need more ram memory. If your processor is very slow you will have problems also. Dual CPUs will help in generating and updating large files.
