Re: Wine Glass Holders

Dan, I assume you are referring to the coffee grounds, I use super thin and then hit it with a little accelerator.

Cutting Board

The customer wanted a cutting board to cover the griddle area, which she does not use anymore, on her antique stove. This stove was huge, it look like something that was in a restaurant. The size of the cutting board is 1 3/8 X 25 X 27 and she wanted to know if I could engrave something on one side....

Re: OREO COOKIE

Buck4 was so kind to share his OREO file with me to make a box for my granddaughters. Well, I haven't gotten around to making them one yet, but I did make one to donate to the Beads of Courage project at SWAT this year in Waco, Texas. BOC is a program where woodworkers make boxes for patients that a...

Re: Salt Box Lids

Thanks for the suggestions, they are appreciated. The .crv file I uploaded is the original file that I first tried carving. I did make the small lettering a seperate toolpath, used different fonts, bold font, kerning, nudging and adjusting start depth. The results were fair to not good at all and my...

Salt Box Lids

I have a customer who wants some salt boxes with their logo on the lids. It's a fairly simple logo that I planed to vcarve, then fill in with coffee grounds as I have done with other projects. The only problem I'm having is the small lettering at the bottom of the logo. No matter what font I use and...

Re: More Desk Plaques

Thanks for the comments, they are appreciated. Pretty simple project, the material is white corian which I v-carved the logo and name with 60 deg. v bit. Used black Krylon paint for the name, blue for the outline of the eagle logo and a yellow paint pen to do the beak. Then cut some brackets for the...

More Desk Plaques

Well, all the teachers got name plates, so the office workers wanted to know where theirs were. So, the principal ordered 29 more plaques for the office workers. This takes care of the high school, so I guess I need to hit up the elementary and middle schools.

Finished another project

Made one of these for my wife. The principal seen it and liked it, so she wanted one for each one of the teachers. Hopefully word will get out to some of the other schools and it will create some more orders,

source of corian

I have been ask to give a quote on making some desk name plates made from white corian for the school where my wife works. I figured that I need at least 3 pieces 24 x 35. Now, for the hard part, finding a source of corian. I would rather not deal with scraps or cutoffs and getting a countertop inst...

Re: Louisiana theme wall hanging

Glenn, thanks for the comment. I take the engravings that are done with a v bit, fill them in with coffee grounds, and then soak the grounds with CA glue, let it dry and then sand smooth. Sometime you may get a small pocket where the grounds did not set and you have to go back and fill them in with ...

Louisiana theme wall hanging

The wife wanted another wall hanging to go with the Bayou scene that we've had for awhile and the Eye of the Tiger painting that our grandson picked out for us for Christmas. She wanted to keep the Louisiana theme so I came up with the Louisiana and fleur-de-Lis, crawfish, alligator and Mardi Gras m...

Salt Boxes

These are a couple of salt boxes I am working on for a client who has a spice shop and she is interested in maybe putting them in her store. The single box style is pretty much done but the double box is still being tweeked. The single box is made with cherry and maple, the double box is cypress whi...
