Help Please

I am trying to create a vector that will allow a 1/4 bit to do a profile cutout. There is a place where the vector meets a curve meets a square. This intersection needs to have a small curve so the bit will fit. Poor explanation but I have some screen shots.I need the area with the highlight circles...

Re: Assistance with tool setting

Yes I agree. My question is if you look at the picture you can see the full V is greater then 1/2 if you have the 1/4 shank set and less than 1/2 if you have the 1/2 shank set. I have always thought that when they ask for a diameter they mean the cuttung area not the shank. I am not very good at exp...

Re: using MM bits in imperial setup

I juts tried to enter the tapered ballnose bits in the tool data base
and there is no section for metric tapered ball nose bits. I cannot
create one. The data needs to include the taper.

Re: using MM bits in imperial setup

The tool database has a metric and imperial tool section. In the geometry section of the box, you have a drop down box that you can select mm or inches. It doesn't matter what tool you use after setup, the post processor will convert it automatically. That is my question. I enter the tools in the m...

Re: Assistance with tool setting

This looks like a good line for me to ask a question about the same topic. I have the 1/2 In Groove set. I determined by measurement that the tool has a .355 width not a 1/2 so I have the dia of the tool set at .355. The 1/4 set uses the same cutters as the 1/2 set. Am I right or wrong. I never coul...

using MM bits in imperial setup

I purchased a set of the ebay small tapered ballnose bits. They are metric.
If I enter them under the metric tool data base and call them for a toolpath
and I have my setup in inches will Vcarve9 use them correctly.
Hope I made sense.

Re: I can't make this

Sorry it was so poor. I am not good at drawing. It would only be 6 inc deep. The holes a 2" 2" and 1.5" The distance between shelf pieces would be 6.0" as the tubes would be 5.0" tall. My intent was to make something to hold the art supplies I use and maybe get them a home. I buy the acrylic paint i...

I can't make this

I am trying to design and create a TP for a simple 3 sided box. The box will holdpaint tubes and mixing bottles. I need on the shelf to be 2 1.5inc and 1 1.0inc holes. I think MDF would be a good material. After trying to do this in Vcarve Pro I gave up. I could not think of or get the offsets done ...
