All great advice and this has been a lot fun. Now if I could heat my shop life would be great. Maybe next year I’ll be able to get the shop a heater. I see there a lots of ways to accomplish that without a a lot of money involved.
Take care

Re: VcarvePro Project Problems
Okay I updated the software. Recalculated the tools paths found the Z axis to be out quite a bit. Made the adjustments to insure the machine was cutting accurately. Went through all the settings as well and did make a few changes. I also slowed things down. Result was a successful project. So I've n...

VcarvePro Project Problems
I've attempted to make the The Bird Shack | Michael Tyler's FREE CNC Project of the Month | Vectric and continue to have problems, I'm using a Openbuilds Lead 1010 machine and Post Processor Openbuilds GRBL (inches) (*.Inches). I've processed the Roof portion of this project but the Front Back Panel...

Re: need Help with The Bird Shack
This is Michael Tyler's Project of the Month. Called The Bird Shack. I've made the roof with success. I just don't understand why the setup is calling for a cutter gap of 1.5 but the material setup shows 0.
Thanks for your help.

need Help with The Bird Shack
Hello, I'm having a few problems making a Bird Shack. I've not seen where you can start the cutter or bit above the material surface, in this instance Z=1.5 is the setting with the Home reads X-0 Y-0 Z-1.5. So is the cuter supposed to set at 1.5 above the material before I start cutting the Front an...

12 Christmas Ornaments from the Past
Well I hope this is a okay with Vectric question. I've misplaced my past years of free Vectic 12 Days of Christmas. Would it be possible for anyone who may still have these files on hand to send them to me. Was anticipating starting on making some Christmas gifts and I've always really enjoyed these...

Help Converting an Aspire File to Vcarve Pro
I've been in need of a dust collector boot for some time now. The Dust Shoe by CNC Router Parts is an open source project and as made by Vectric is an Aspire file. Would anyone do me a large favor and make this into a VCarve Pro 9.5. I've not been able to upgrade to version 10 yet, but looks like ne...

When I load a DXF file it's to big
springer.dxf Hello, I have a DXF file I've been trying to load that I can't to be the right size. I've tried just opening and creating a file and then importing it and have had no joy with it. If someone would give me a hand with this I and a few friends would really appreciate it. I attached the f...

Re: Aspire Alternative
Absolutely no offence taken on my part. I appreciate the advice given. When you think about it I'm not so far away when I consider I already have VcarvePro so I already have a good start. As for your advice on the cards my wife and I have lived a full year now without them, it was something very muc...

Aspire Alternative
Having been using VcarvePro for some years now and wishing I could afford Aspire would anyone have a suggestion on a program that might help me be able to do some 3d work. As far as 3d I really have no idea on how to start so the simplest way to get there would be the most desirable. Hope no offense...
