Re: Version 11.5 is OUT NOW!

Quick note
Aspire version 11 worked fine on my laptop with xp-pen tablet but version 11.5 does not run at all. I removed the tablet and uninstalled the driver software and version 11.5 now works fine. I can live without the tablet until there is a fix.

counterfeit 3d files?

I was searching for a 3d stl file and found amazing deals on ebay until I realized that quite a few were identical to ones I bought from vectric. I can’t believe ebay allows counterfeit files to be sold there. I hope they get shut down by the real owners.

Re: Hudson River Valley Aspire users?

I'm located in Malta NY perhaps a little further north than you had in mind.

I have a shopbot prs alpha and a laser system that I use aspire with.

We could get together at my shop if desired

Re: Aspire Post

Expecting the software to know how to compensate for wood that moves when pocketing seems like a difficult task. Every piece of wood has different stress and behaves differently. As for script text, I have a stack of sign making software purchased over the past 21 years and none of them work without...

Re: New Sign

We made the entire sign out of scraps left over from other projects. Precision Board is not stocked by anyone within 100 miles of here. I would guess it was made from 18 lb Sign Foam. I will probably try the new improved Sign Foam sometime soon.

Re: New Sign

The paint is One Shot reflex blue lettering enamel. The nice gold color is "111 brass". We find that it looks better than most gold color paints. http://www.1shot.com/home.html color chart http://www.1shot.com/colorchart-lettering.html The primer was FSC-88 from coastal. http://precisionboard.com/pr...

Re: Is this possible?

I think Aspire cannot do undercut profiles. You might have to make separate pieces and do a glue-up.

New Sign

This is a sign that we had to build and ship out before christmas. We never heard back from the customer but we like it. http://i1140.photobucket.com/albums/n564/clancy60/IMG_3942_zps8265f362.jpg The horse is 2" thick, the sign was made from HDU with a MDO back for strength. I carved all the pieces ...

Yes even the Bold font requires substantial editing when scaled up.

Re: Howling wolf sign font

James,

I got the discontinued font. It was called LHF Mirage. It appears to be much too thin and pointy, apparently you did a fair amount of node editing to get text suitable for routing.

Thanks for your help,

Re: Howling wolf sign font

James, thanks for your help, glad to see you are doing well, it has been a while. Diane and I are doing great, busier than ever. I believe that the Smith's Stables sign uses the same font and the "e" and the "a" both match the Bear Rock sign. I will try to contact the letterhead fonts people. Thanks...
