no but i always give them a few thin coats before painting to stop the paint bleeding then sand off
the sealer also helps to make the excess paint come off.

here is a sign i just finished for a man who loves his new car he wanted a picture to go on his garage wall i used the bit map convertion from some photos and a bit of fiddling to put his numberplate number on and draw up the st 500 from a photo as the badge isnt on any picture all in maple faced mdf.

Hi I used a large 44mm diameter round over bit then a 6mm spiral down cut to cut out, there a bit tricky with the tabs because you machine from both sides the round over bit only leaves 2 mm but best to do the cut out first to take out the bulk of the timber for less force when doing the round over ...

Hi here are some hand bag handles i have just done
for a designer.for some designer hand bags but they would make great
knife handles .ones in black walnut the other utily.

Nice work, since you already called it beautiful, what can we say? :D Did you build the entire table? That thing is HUMONGUOUS! With a few additions, it could be turned into a shuffle board table. oak veneered table top and seal with inlaid American black walnut
the seals are 310mm diameter with a french polished finish.

Another Green Man

This is a green man i just machined in yew wood
its about 300mm in length
i sharpened up some of the edges by under cutting
with my dremel
a great model to do hopefully it will fly of the shelf
to fill someones Christmas stocking. :lol: :lol:

Hi i have been woundering if any one has
carved off a sketch up model as you can
export in dxf drawing in 3d with it is
so easy but the resolution is a bit blocky
as my trial version of sketch up pro
ran out
so i cant try it

ive got crabs

Here are some pictures of some crabs
from the vector art collection
they look great mounted on a
contrasting wood .i have done a few in
different woods the pictures are of a mahogany one
i might increase the step over
next time they take around two hours
to get finished.
