Re: v10 Needs work

Alright - glad that fixed it. This is a new option for version 10. This new Raster strategy (when set to “Yes”) is intended to minimize or eliminate “jumping around” from place-to-place when rastering a model. In certain rare circumstances, the strategy fails, as you’ve witnessed first-hand. So, th...

Re: v10 Needs work

One thing I would try is use a Vector Boundary instead of the Model Boundary for the Finish Toolpath. Then try the “0” vs “90” angle for the Raster to see if there is any difference. Too bad we can’t see the actual file itself, but maybe Vectric Support already has it in-hand. tried that as well no...

Re: v10 Needs work

What Adze was getting at was that if the stepover is not the same between versions, the one with the wider stepover will be rougher. Steve, Actually, I noticed that for the tool the original "stepover" was set at 0.0032" and the "clearance pass stepover" was set at 0.0299". With these strange value...

Re: v10 Needs work

Yes both models where imported into each version and all the setting are the same for both, nothing different. the raster images are the other problem in v10.018 where if you set the raster angle to 90 degrees it will only path 1/2 the model and when you change it back to 0 degrees it will path the...

Re: v10 Needs work

I don't think Adze is asking you to change the model. I think he's just asking you to change the stepover in the carving toolpath. There are a few things to investigate before declaring that V10 is a failure. Are the modeling resolution and the preview simulation resolution set up the same in both ...

Re: v10 Needs work

I'm curious about the simulations. Could you change the stepover to 0.003" and the clearance stepover to 0.03" and compare the results between the letters on the right ("ININ")? Also what is the distance (perpendicular) between an "I" and an "N"? Not sure what you are after here sorry, this is a pr...

v10 Needs work

OK I have stopped using Aspire v10.018 for now and gone back to v9.5, I have been having to many issues with v10 that it no longer works for me.
So until all the bugs are worked out I will be using 9.5.

Not the answer to your request I know but might help if you are not aware it can be done.
Tried that but did not work or look the way I wanted it to.
Besides it just adds more steps to the process. :D

Re: Nesting Toolpaths

I make a few of these and each time I get wood to make them the sizes change, what I would like is to make the changes to each sheet and it's toolpaths, Right now I have to delete each toolpath and redo them for each sheet every time I need to make a change or I forget something on it. The Attached ...
