Re: Last supper
I think you are going to have to re carve the entire model. I would use the same x,y coordinates BUT change the Z zero to a positive number to make the tools cut deeper.

Re: Milling G10 - Carbon Fiber? Speeds, feeds, rpms?
Hello I would not machine G10 without proper safety equipment. No matter how much the job pays it is not worth risking lung disease. The company I worked for did G10 machining for IBM pc boards. It was done in an air enclosed room with a vac system. The machining was done AFTER the operator left the...

Re: V-Carve under veneer - how to set depth?
If you touch and zero your z axis as a positive .030 and not .00,would this cause the offset you are looking for ?

Re: Rookie: just want to cut out a profile
I am not sure this will give you what you desire but it may. I just tried the demo version and this is what I did. I used the rooster and did the outside profile cut out by generating all tool paths. Then I went back and turned off roughing and finishing tool paths and previewed cut out only. I then...

Re: Crib Board Question
Bob Another thing you might try is to increase your plunge speed and initial peck depth, the increased plunge rate will cause the bit to bite into the wood without giving it a chance to wonder around if that makes sense to you. A spot drill (center drill ) first would also help start a 90 degree dri...

Hi Bob
Yes that is a stubby or screw machine drill, a split point is ground at 135 degree included angle.

Open Gimp Open file Use path tool to go around image ( it looks like an old style ink pen ) Hit enter to close path Double click on...

Re: Crib Board Question
The short drill bits are known as screw machine drill bit or stub drill, a split point drill does not need a center first to start accurately.
Here is a link to 1 place that carries them.
