Lead in/out issues with last path & allowance
V-carve V8.5 seems to ignore my lead in/out (on the final pass) when using the last pass with allowance.

Re: material support
I didn't have any mdf on hand so I used some baltic birch I had laying around. It worked pretty good except the stock lifted while v-carving so I may need to fully contain it when v-carving but this is a great improvement over what I had.

material support
I'm needing to do some several production runs of a rotary piece that's 5/8 diameter and 40" long. I tried a piece 20" long and it didn't turn out due to deflection during v-carving due to lack of material strength. I'm thinking of simply making a channel in some MDF that the cylinder can rotate in ...

Re: Project V-carve tool path onto fluting tool path
Is it possible with VC8? Say I create a slope in a board using the fluting tool path and want to v-carve along that slope. Is it possible? I know aspire has the possibility to make a model from tool paths but I can't figure it out on VC8. What is the shape of the fluted path? If it is a simple shap...

Hole drilling
I have a job that requires several hundred 3/8 holes drilled in baltic birch plywood. I'd rather drill the holes for time savings vs pocket them out but have not had much luck finding anything I think would work well. I tried a carbite fosner bit but it would not run true I have some Mill drills com...

I was able to radius the original vector using a circle and trimming the extra. Too bad you can radius curved vectors...

Re: How can I make a vector that
Sorry I don't think I'm explaining it correctly. I want to keep the 1" bit and the profile it makes. But because I'm cutting this in plywood I would like to do a profile cut with say a down cut bit on the inside to prevent it from chipping out. So I need to make a new vector that would follow where ...

How can I make a vector that
If you run the preview on this part I would like to make a vector so I can run a round over bit on the inside of the pocket, but being I'm using a 1" bit to pocket it can't follow the shape drawn in places it can't fit in. How can I covert what I have drawn to make the shape that the bit will make?

Index machining with v-carve
Is there any gadgets out there to string toolpaths together for index machining when using a rotary axis? I may be wrong but the current rotary gadget only appears to convert 2d tool paths into a wrapped tool path and does not allow for non circular shapes. I would love a cam software that would do ...
