Re: Photo VCarve wont let me calculate & preview
You do not have any vectors to select so if you are not going to create vectors then select the bitmap and check the bitmap choice for calculation of the toolpath. If you create the needed vectors then you can calculate the toolpath using the vectors and it will carve along those vectors where they ...

Re: STL file not showing as a 3D file
Chad I'm sorry I did not follow up on the email with the design file for this project. I sent it the evening of the 28 but it has been hectic here and I did not make sure you got the email. Hopefully, it will show you how I would do the file but you will have to rotate it for your machine and recalc...

Re: Twisted Candle Holder
Did you use a rotary axis or did you do this as a 4 sided carving and hand carve to clean it up?

Re: a simple bowl with a mapped model
Len not having the picture I created the vectors using the 2D view of the dog model you had in the file. One other thing you can do to get more detail in your vcarve would be to add a small start depth to your vcarve toolpath(0.01~0.03).

Re: a simple bowl with a mapped model
Len you created a model from the bitmap of the dog and that included the background so it is a square model. I would have imported the bitmap then fit vectors to v-carve. I also note that you have toolpaths that overlap the project area and that you don't have any vectors to match those toolpaths. D...

Boss CNC
I need to know what post processor to use to output gcode for a Boss CNC router. The machine does have a 8 station tool changer and if possible I would like to use the tool change but any post processor help would be appreciated.

Gadgets from Aspire 3.5 in 4.0
I found that all the extra gadgets I have will not work in Aspire V4.
Will the program be changed so that the old gadgets work or are we out of luck and won't be able to use the extra gadgets?
Mike

Re: Pizza Cutter!
I like the look of that cutter.
Just one thing I see that might improve the project. If you flip and turn every other handle you could get more handles out of the same size stock and would lower the cost of each cutter.
