Hi Gary,
Unfortunately my machine doesn't run on G code. It runs on Sei's owner controller language.
Thanks, Paul

Re: Circles
Thanks for your reponse. Unfortunately I don't recollect seeing a setting for constant velocity when I went through the manual, but I'll have a double check.

Circles
I am trying to edit a post processor for my Sei 810. The problem I have at the moment is that cut2d outputs a circle as 4 segments. My router pauses after each segment, so I'd end up with 4 burn marks if I was actually cutting into wood. Does anyone know how to get around this problem? If I take the...

dnc softare
In my last post, I highlighted my problem of not being able to get a z axis control from HPGL. I've been trawling the net and found some dnc software. Reading the product description I'm assuming that I would be able to use this in a similar manner to a printer driver and output my cut 2d files comp...

Re: HPGL
Thanks for that Adrian. I'll e-mail Vectric support and play with the Roland post processors a go in the meantime.

Re: HPGL
I have read through it and I've looked at some plt output files outputed from my machines control sotware, but nothing seems to make the z axis alter. I'm wondering if the HP driver being a printer driver doesn't output z controls.
Thanks,
Paul

Paul

Is it possible to have a z control using a hp printer driver to output direct to my machine? I've been playing with the post processors but to no avail yet. Just wondering if I was wasting my time

Re: Output direct to machine.
Thanks for that Jim. Fingers crossed I can use a HP printer driver directly. I was hoping cut 2d would control my machine directly, as machines operating program is a little antiquidated and runs in dos. I'm of to have a play.
Thanks, Paul

Output direct to machine.
I've just taken the plundge and bought cut 2d. I've edited a post processor but don't seem to get the direct to machine option only the save option. The only post processor I can output is the generic hphl via the printer driver. I'd be grateful if someone could give me some pointers. Apologies if I...

Re: post processor file
Thanks for that Adrian, sorry for the delay in responding. I'd got the hide file type, activated so windows wouldn't let me change the file type.

post processor file
I've been trying to edit a post processor to get my Sei 810 personnel router to run. I've edited the processor in notepad but can only save as a text file. How do I save as a pp file so that it comes up in the drop down list of post processors? The file is in the post processor file of the program b...

Re: Driver
Hi Mark,
Thanks for your response. Unfortunately I haven't got a driver with the machine and I am not sure how to copy a file to the machine itself. I will try to get in contact with Sei again to see if they can help.
Many thanks,
Paul

Re: Driver
Hi Tim,
Thanks for your reply.
I think thats what I tried. I clicked on the generic HPGL in the drop down box and then the output direct to machine and a message came up saying install driver.
I have sent a message to Vectric so I will see what happens.
Paul

Driver
I have rummaged through the manual for my Sei 810 personel router and it will recieve commands in in Sei HPGL or DMPL. I have tried the cut 2d trail but it says I need a driver to output the generic HPGL. Excuse my ignorance but is there any form of generic driver out there that I could use as my se...

Re: Sei 810 Peronnel Router
Hi Glenn,
Thanks for your response. Mach 3's always an option, but it seems an expensive one at the moment.
Thanks,
Paul
