Looking for Garden Project ideas

We go to "plant swaps" a couple of times each year. Each attendee donates a $25 retail value item to the event's raffle, to help pay for the rented facility. So, I'm looking for garden-related project ideas for items to make on my CNC router. I'm posting the question here in hope of finding ideas fo...

Re: Corner joints for flat-pack?

Thanks to all for the suggestions & links! We're stilling considering the variables.. cost of production & parts, ease of assembly, etc. I suspect we'll end up with a fairly simple corner joint with pre-drilled holes for simple screws. As always, the helpful members of this forum are an invaluable r...

Re: Corner joints for flat-pack?

Dealguy: Will the hardware you mention work with CNC cutting the holes/notches, whatever is required? Regarding cost, 8 fasteners at 50cents, $4 per frame. Not expensive, but worth the time to at least ask around to see if there is a CNC joint that would suffice. Thanks for advice, I'll check out th...

Corner joints for flat-pack?

We're building a number of simple wall display cases, 1"x4" wood frames with glass doors. For storage and shipping, these need to be built as flat-pack for customer assembly. I'm familiar with most traditional joinery methods, but wonder if anyone here has come across a good CNC corner joint suitabl...

" I was actually surprised to unpack it and see the entire chassis made from delrin (or some plastic material) "

Just an idea.. you might use your current CNC router to cut new chassis and frame parts from aluminum. You will end up with a much stiffer & more accurate machine.

Re: Poker Chip Tray

When making chip trays, it is a good idea to measure several stacks of the actual chips that will be stored in the tray. Otherwise, the slots may not be quite the right length, or width, to hold the desired number of chips. Both the thickness of poker chips and diameter will vary slightly, depending...

Very nice!

Great contrast with the inlays, and the split reinforcement is a nice extra detail as well as being useful.

Re: I want to carve a sign for my business help please.

A suggestion: Less is better with signage.
I'd recommend dropping the words "Call" and "Sales by".
Just the phone # and "Appointment Only" convey sufficient meaning without further elaboration.
