Yes - it is waterproof vice water resistant and rated for interior or exterior use
Fonts - Arial Bold, Garmand or Libraian look nice for signs

CNCIT I used sapele. Looks like mahogany but is much harder.

Here is one I did recently for my wife.
I made the flag
I distorted the Flag
I created the wave using the same process you discussed earlier.
The eagle I had from a previous project
My Flag is a 3D object about 28"x14" and took about 13hr to carve

The solution is to create the flag and the stripes before you create the waves

I have had the same issue. I have found the only fix is to save, close the file and open again.

To make your tab join at the top of you material make The tab thickness equal to your material thickness
