Need Help with Zero Plane
I have a 0.75" piece of material where I want a zero plane down 0.25" from the top. Do I add a zero plane with a base of 0.25"? Do I subtract a zero plane 0.25"? Also, if I want to place an object on the zero plane, do I add it to the zero plane? or do I give the object a negative base height? Any h...

Angie
Thanks for the reply. I too have a K2 Z axis and have been happy with it. Due to the lack of replies, I am assuming that nobody has a complete machine thus no comments on the K2 control system.
Thanks again

Re: Second or dual z controll
Bill Let me try again. If you slave the A axis to the Z axis in Mach, there is nothing to be changed in the G code generated by the pp. Mach will output identical pulses and directional info to the A axis. This does mean that you will need an additional driver, motor, and cabling for the A axis. Ass...

Re: VCarve issue with Mach3
I too had a similar problem that was solved by lowering the aceleration and speed of the z axis

Re: Y-axis travel not as coded in g-code - travels less
If you don't find a loose coupling, try adjusting the acceleration and velocity in Mach.

Re: Why oh why does this keep happening
Don't know if this helps, but I had the same problem using Mach3. I keept lowering the velocity and acceleration until the problem went away. Not very scientific, but it solved the problem.
