Biesse Rover 321 Drill Post Processor
Attached is the processor to use the vertical drills for Cam and Dowel etc.
This one requires the origin to be set at the top of material. The other processors for routing can be found here plus how to transfer data to the cnc:-

Re: x and y in a plunge move Biesse Rover?
Do you mean cut and paste.
I want to do several hundred holes with different drills
N10 X100 Y100 T5 L=G99 PRF=10
N10 X200 Y300 T12 L=G99 PRF=16
etc
L=G99 calls the offset for each drill T1 to t13. Thirteen drills in all with all the origins known.

Re: Biesse Rover 321 Post Processors + process
I did confirm with Vectric the minimum split.
Yeap machine is 400 line limit and are early 90's tech. I hate the thought of them being 'very old', as I am of very early 70's vintage.
I am not expecting to do much in the way of 3d with it.

Re: Biesse Rover 321 Post Processors + process
Tape Splitting is used but the minimum split is 600 lines. The Biesse Rover can only handle approx 400 lines.

Biesse Rover 321 Post Processors + process
Attached are 3 post processors one without tool changer but allows use of 2nd head. The other 2 are for either head 1 or 2. Please note that the vectric post processor does not split files to 400 lines(min is 600) required for the 4k limit. To get round this I have added 200 lines to the header that...

Re: Parametric raised panels?
Hi John
I can't look at Aspire I only have VCarve.
Are you running the code on Biesse 321? I have 4 of them at work but mainly hand code them. If you post a pic I could help with the code.
Regards
Liam

Re: My part time job
This car has plastic lens and windscreen. modelt2.jpg modelt3.jpg modelt1.jpg I use Solidworks to design the puzzle and flatten the pieces exporting the DXF to Vcarve. I then use VCarve to join the various lines and arcs and create 3 separate layers. I also do all my numbering the parts using Vcave ...

Re: My part time job
I only sell the designs. I don't typically make them unless for prototype purposes. Depending on the complexity I can turn an original design around in 1 - 2 weeks. I have no idea how much the models are sold for. http://www.cnczone.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=134695&d=1306045397 http://w...

My part time job
Most of the puzzle pictures attached belong to my clients(I don't own a laser). I just use my CNC now to prototype. I started a few years ago copying the Chinese designs but things are starting to getting a bit more intricate. You may recognise this early design. http://www.cnczone.com/forums/attach...

Re: Getting a clean cut...
I use a 1/2" compression 4 flute rougher/finisher. It gives a superb finish. I run it at 19,500 RPM/25 meters per min. The only time I snapped one was it if found a steel bar in the door. I find with the 4 flute compresion cutters produce less noise and the bit lasts longer. I have actually c...
