Re: Stone carving anyone?

Hello Chris, yes the Amana tools are expensive I had shipping and customs duty on top but they do last a long time unless you touch something hard to the tip and it chips off very quickly, if the tool does lose it's edge you can lap them on a diamond disk but takes a while. We only use the PCD on gr...

Re: How to drill/ cut hollow material both sides in vcarve?

Hi, I don't know if something like this that I use could be used as I don't know how big you want the hole. On my bed I have fixed two pairs of threaded Tee nuts that I can locate the disk that places my work to cut the opposite side. The box section I use I mark out position of one hole and centre ...

Re: Stone carving anyone?

Sorry for the late reply this is a company I use in the UK you should be able to find similar where you are.
The brazed diamond and brazed carbide are not as good to use the PCD gives a nice clean finish.

Re: Stone carving anyone?

Hi
If using granite you will want to use flood coolant and a better type of cutter look for PCD (Poly Crystalline Diamond) then you should not have any problems so long as your machine is well made.
