Re: Epoxy Volume Calculator

Hi,

I'd love to install this gadget but I can't seem to get it to work. I followed the instructions exactly.
When I run the "install new gadget" it doesn't see the file.

I'm running Win 11 and Aspire 11

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Re: lost endmills in tool database

OK.........gremlins are out and about.

I rebooted my machine two times...........now they are back and appear normal.

Mayhaps I have a hard drive issue.

lost endmills in tool database

Help,

I have a project I need to jump on, but my tool database lost all my endmills. Ballnose, vbit etc are all there.

I can't seem to add anything to endmills either.
I noticed this after going to the lastest update.

I"m lost.

Re: 30 degree bit inlays

Hi Dave, Haven't tried your technique yet. Sounds interesting. I just need deep inlays for the cutting boards. .1" or even .2" is a bit thin and would probably wear from the knives in time. True, not all of the V- carved inlays do are .4" deep using my way but it does allow for more wear over all. I...

30 degree bit inlays

Hi all, I just started using a 30 degree bit for V-carve inlays. Works so well. I carve .4" deep for the female and use .3 start depth and .1" flat depth for the male inlay. So far.....the inlays have been perfect and thick. So much easier than the 60 or 90 degree bits........at least it seems that ...

Re: Aspire V8.0 released for existing Aspire Customers

I haven't received any email about the upgrade to Aspire 8.0.

I've emailed support@ but so far nothing.

my emails are

pmkllc@comcast.net
pkarlowitz@comcast.net
karlowitz@ulm.edu

certainly one of them will work.

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Problems with latest project "Scrolled Mirror Frame"

Just so all know.........yes, the Vectric files are fine.........I found that I had a jump drive that was on it's last leg. It had issues........used a new jump drive to move my tool path files out to my workshop..........and all is well. Should have know......Vectric is about as perfect as it gets....

Problems with latest project "Scrolled Mirror Frame"

HI all, I have been using my Shopbot for the last 5 years with no real problem. But, it doesn't seem to like this "Scrolled Mirror Frame" project on the Vectric web site. Has anyone had any problems getting this project to cut correctly.......mine stops and says it has encountered errors etc. and ca...

Aspire 4 Extrude and weave

hi all,

Well, I guess I'm just stupid.

I can't seem to get the Extrude and weave to work. I create my pattern, create a cross section, and go through the extrude and weave menu and set the items.......but it won't let me "apply" them.

Any ideas??

Re: computer used for Aspire 3.09

Thanks for the answers. yes, a small bit for only a 12" project, but it has very fine detail that a .125 just can't get to. Hum....it just occured to me........I do use a 4% step over. I bet that has something to do with my long calc times. It really cuts down on any sanding cleanup to be done after...

computer used for Aspire 3.09

Hi all, I'm curious as to what computer....speed and ram......others are using for Aspire. I have a quad core 2.6 ghz. with 8 gb ram. I'm also curious as to toolpath calculation time. I do a lot of .0625 round nose bit work. It seems that the calculation time is so much .....as in LONG time.....more...
