New Humidor for Charity Auction
I created a new humidor for a charity auction. Yes I am a Oklahoma State Alumni. All I have left to do is add the Hydrometer and humidifier inside the box. I may also tone it down with a couple of coats of Semi-gloss or satin finish. 20180128_201110_resized_2.jpg 20180128_201028_resized_1.jpg 201801...

Re: Flag Humidor
Thanks all for the great feed back. I will attempt to go into a little more detail how I made the humidor. First step was to find some cherry boards long and wide enough that I could use the grain pattern of the wood to wrap around the ends. Next step was designing the project in Aspire because I kn...

3D Art Work
I decided to try something a little different. Like all good woodworkers, I saw the idea online and decided to see if I could create it (Using my own theme) for an upcoming art project I was doing for the City in which I work in the public works department. I believe it is call 3D reverse perspectiv...

Re: Seattle Skyline Wood Inlay Project
I must admit that was one of the challenging parts of the project was getting the wood grain orientation the way I wanted. I think with a scroll saw it would have been easier to visualize the grain patterns better but with the CNC I could cut a lot of pieces at once.

Seattle Skyline Wood Inlay Project
I saw a picture of the Seattle Skyline made out of glass and decided to see if I could make the same picture out of wood and give it to my son who just moved from there to Maryland. The entire project was drawn using Aspire and all the pieces were cut out on my CNC (no scroll saw used in the making ...

Re: Sand Texture
Just realized I never posted the finished sign I was working on. The sign is made from two sheets of 1-inch foam board glued together with a 1/4 sheet of Aluminum backer board for rigidity. The sign is approximately 40-inches wide and 32-inches tall. The customer wanted a sign that was at least 2-in...

Re: Ike's Gamble - A D-Day Tribute
It's been a while since I have looked at the forum. I must say your piece is awesome!
It is a true labor of love! Great job.
I hope your work ends up some place that can be viewed by lot of people some day.

Gun display case
I just started a gun display case. When finished the police badge will be inlayed into the face frame. I must give a shout out to Chris Cates for modeling the badge for me. Thanks Chris. I used a 1/4" ball nose bit to rough cut the model and a 1/16 and 1/32 inch tapered ball nose bits to finish cut ...

Cabin Wall Plaque
Haven't posted in awhile. I just finished a wall plaque with a cabin I had to model. It turns out the person who asked for the plaque, his wife's great grandfather built this cabin somewhere up in Michigan.
The plaque is MDF (painted) and the cabin is Blood wood (I believe).
