With the new database sharing functionality built-in to the software I'm sure we will see a growth in tool manufacturer databases. Hopefully, it's done better than the downloadable ones currently on offer which are riddled with mistakes and lead to many posts on here from people who have blindly us...

I guess I don't see everything as impossible. Yes, are there variables like stepper motor types, and spindle types. These are all pretty common and most brands use the same units. Desktop vs Large format again seems like something that could be accounted for. We all know that Oak cuts different than...

Focal Length

Hello, Was looking through the Database settings and it occurred to me that as a general reference tool, would it not also be a good idea to create various materials for the laser and focal length depending on what the intent is? IE: Cut through or Etch? Example OptLaser has this page for reference:...

If the purpose of the roughing pass is to hog out a majority of material, then Yes why is there so much of a gap here as pictured?

Why such a huge gap between rough and finish?

Im trying to figure out why so much wood is having to be cut out when doing the finishing pass. Or what am I doing wrong?
