Thanks you very much highpockets! I did exactly as you said but it seems my old file was already corrupted and I lost my tool database. I will now have to redo it. Thanks for your help.

Moving tool database to new computer
I hope this is the right place to ask this question. I have tried searching to no avail and I was positive I had seen this answered previously. My old computer is failing and I have installed VCarve on my new computer, but I am at a loss as to how to move the tool database over to the new computer. ...

Thank you plaque
We are moving from the area in a few months and my wife insisted on a plaque for the veterinary clinic
that has served all of our animals over the past 10 years. This is what she decided on, it is 15" x 21" out
of Cherry stained Birch ply.

Re: Saving a dxf file results in larger file?
All my files are DXF. I open them in VCPro, make some changes and then export them as a DXF again.
Most of my drafting programs used DXF files so I have kept to that since I can open in other programs.
I just don't remember my previous versions enlarging the files so much.

Saving a dxf file results in larger file?
When I open a dxf file and resave it without changes it results in a larger file. For example I opened a file that was 303,936kb and upon resaving it without change it became 7,411,168kb. I know if I edit the original file it shows AC1021 and the resaved file shows AC1009. If the AC version is the p...

Re: Job Setup/ Material (Z)/ Thickness Setting
I have noticed that when I change the material size I need to actually save the file being worked on
or it reverts to the previous size the next time you open VCarve.

Re: resize an existing vector
John,
I accomplish what you want by clicking on the shield you have then open the lower left hand "offset selected vectors" icon. There you can set the amount of offset you want for a duplicate shield also check the "create sharp offset corners box".

Nat,
When you save your tool path at the bottom it allows you to change the post-processor.

Updating read topics
I have just changed over from IE8 to IE11. When I used IE8 the forum was updated after I read a topic to show it had been read.
This no longer holds true in IE11, what needs to be changed, I am stumped? I hope I am asking this in the right place.
