Re: tool offset on Komo Innova
The first time I tried that it didn't work. I must have bungled something, because it works now!

Re: tool offset on Komo Innova
I actually don't even have to do any arithmetic. All I have to do is figure out how to insert the numeral "1" in between "H" and the variable [T].

tool offset on Komo Innova
Hi, I'm working on a post for a Komo Innova. It has a Fanuc 210-MB control and an 8 station tool changer. The problem I'm having arises from the fact that the way the control is set up, the tool offset register is the tool number plus 10. I tried changing: "[N]G00G43H[T][ZH]" to: "[N]G00G43H[T+10][Z...

Re: First bad day of two sided cutting
I do a lot of two sided work and don't screw it up very often anymore. I've always used a 2 pin technique, but now I'm thinking about the 4 pin technique, and how it includes built in verification of gantry squaring. Interesting, I hadn't thought of that before. Drill 4 holes and flip might be the q...

Re: Trace bitmap as single lines to profile?
In answer to the original question, the only way I know of to get a good single line trace is Adobe Illustrator and a skilled operator.

Re: question about reinstalling
Okay, I tried saving to a flash drive, and I was able to save a 17 meg file successfully. I then copied that file to the folder on the network where I'd been unsuccessfully trying to save it and it worked just fine. The problem is somewhere in how the network is interacting with VCP when it's trying...

Re: question about reinstalling
After the first instance of VCP locks up, I've discovered that I can just leave it there, fire up a new instance, create a design, make toolpaths and save the file repeatedly in a different location, provided the file stays small. I can actually left click on the TMP file created by the hung instanc...

Re: question about reinstalling
I regularly open, modify, and save 20-50 MB .blend and .stl files with nary a hiccup. Never a problem saving, ever. Not even one. When the file sizes get above 50MB there's time to go get a cup of coffee when opening and saving, but it always completes normally.

Re: question about reinstalling
Thanks to all for the replies. It's a very unusual type of failure. There are two quite unique things about it. The first being that I can bounce over to my web browser or any other program I have running and work in that program indefinitely while VCP sits there hung. I can also open up another ins...

question about reinstalling
Hi, I'm currently running VCP 6.5 and I've started having some trouble lately. It seems that once the file size gets up around 5 megs or higher about half the time when I go to save my changes the program locks up. It's pretty interesting phenomenon. Other programs work just fine, but VCP is locked ...

change spindle speed when posting multiple toolpaths
Currently when I save multiple toolpaths to one file only one S code is inserted and it's always the RPM of the first toolpath. It seems a little odd because the feedrates of each of the individual toolpaths are included. Is there any way to get the spindle speeds in the combined output to reflect t...

Re: vac hold down
The material looks like solid PVC. Am I right?
Also, if that's a standard o-ring, I'm guessing it doesn't compress very far, and the work rests on the o-ring rather than the puck. Is this correct?

Thanks for testing that. It's great to know I didn't just forget to check some box in a dialog or something.

Re: toolpath template problem
That was one of the first things I tried. I just tried it now and the results are identical. It appears that the table where the list of toolpaths is stored internally isn't getting overwritten.
Here's the crv. I'm guessing it will work perfectly for anybody else.
