Re: Photoshop to Aspire image Help

Not sure if this is applicable in CS5.

In CS4 use File > Save As > AI

Check the option - Create PDF Compatible File - and this should help

Re: Roughing Question

Hi Michael,

There's an option to stop the 3D view from automatically opening

Edit > Options > Auto Open 3D View = No

Also a keyboard shortcut,
Holding Ctrl when clicking Calculate = Keeps the Toolpath Form + 2D view open

Re: Setting Zero

Hi Ron,

Try using - Use Origin Offset - on the Material Setup form

Entering negative X & Y values will move the light grey cross-hair in the 2D view (represents X0 Y0 position)

Hope this might work

Re: Bit only "cutting air" above board!

Linda, Looking at your toolpath files and I would say that the Allowance for the Roughing toolpath is forcing the cutter to initially run above the material surface. If you leave the toolpath running it should eventually cut into the material as there are negative moves in the file. As this project ...

Re: Lost V-Carve Disk!!!

I sent them an email a couple of days ago about my missing aspire disk. They must be on holiday or something. They have not responded to me either. David Hi David, This has been bouncing around since April when we replied asking for confirmation on what DVD you had actually lost. You said you had j...

Re: Which curve correction to use

Mark, Angie is correct and with a 'well tuned' router there should be no noticeable difference when running machines with bezier or arc based toolpaths. I would recommend watching the video tutorial on the web site that tries to explain Arc fitting for toolpaths. Tutorial 13 - Arc Fitting See > http...
