I wouldn't. There are enough sub forums that people don't use properly as it is. Adding more just confuses things even more.
Even though it was my suggestion I agree with you, Adrian.

Clamping

There was a question on the Shopbot forum about clamping work for machining. This type of question is asked frequently. There are many ways to build clamps. This is a very important part of CNC woodworking. I would like to see a section on this forum devoted to clamping work.

PDF Import

I purchased plans online in PDF format. There are 51 pages. The drawings I want to work with in VCarve are on about 20 pages. How can I import or copy an individual page into VCarve?

Thanks,

Wood burn sign look

I've had a request to carve a sign, the letters should appear to be done with a woodburning tool.
Anyone try something like this? Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Re: V-Carve Help

Your start depth is 0.03", it should be zero. Also how did you zero the Z axis prior to running the file?

design and plans...came from Fine Woodworking magazine.
Which issue? I don't relish looking through 289 of them to find the article.

A recent issue, within the past two years. I'll check and post later.

Adirondack Chair - new design

The design and plans for this version of an Adirondack chair came from Fine Woodworking magazine. I cut the back slats and the curved back leg with a slot for the seat slats on my Shopbot. This chair is far more comfortable than a traditional Adirondack chair.
