Just create a job that's a wide as your ring and as long as the circumference. Put your text in the box and work it like any other wrapped job. The trick is going to be a spindle and tool that will fit inside the ring. Most ring engravers I've worked with used a metal scribe, not a rotary tool.

If you will think of the object as flat it will make it easier. Import and unwrap your shell model. Then go back and add in the ridges by hand (not at home now or I could draw this out). If you have a pattern for the ridges already import it as vectors (DFX) and then use a sweep to create the shape ...

I haven't read through the license, Not really into mold making..... But

What's the difference in making 50 copies of a pattern on a cnc vs making 1 mold and pouring 50 copies. In example making a repeating object to decorate my wall. The end result would be the same.
